Hi ya’ll! I hope everyone has had a good past two weeks! I have been able to get a few miles in here and there. Just a 2 miler here and a 3 miler there. I can be a real challenge to fit all the runs in that I want. In the past 2 weeks I have worked about 9 total 12 hour shifts. Recently with school and clinical in addition to work it is so challenging to find the energy for the workout! Waking up at 4:30a and then not getting home until after 7p does, with more school work to finish before bed does not leave you with much motivation left for a workout. But I manage on my days off! I get those runs in!
One of the days I spent running trails at one of my favorite parks. There is something a little more challenging about running trails that I enjoy. It is also peaceful to be out in the wilderness, away from all the busyness of daily life.
Another run was along a paved and packed stone path. This run felt so much faster then all my trail runs! I have been doing so many trail runs where I just run without focusing on the pace I just have been focusing on feel; so it felt good to hit the pavement again. I was able to really turn my focus to my pace and form. And I really like the pace that I hit on my run! It felt good.
I will continue to strive to keep getting those miles in! It is all about improvise, adapt and overcome! I hope everyone is having a good week! Happy running!!
